My work in the HPS Testing Department began in 1997, the first year North Carolina implemented the ABCs of Public Education accountability program. Student achievement, often measured through standardized testing, is the primary focus of the state ABCs, the federal No Child Left Behind program, and our local district testing program as well.
In my position, I serve our district as LEA Testing Coordinator.  One of the greatest aspects of my role is to work with an amazing group of School Test Coordinators to provide the best testing environment for our students. This position has also given me the opportunity to work directly with some of NC's most top-notch administrators and teachers. These educators are among the stars that really make HPS shine!  Consequently, I would think of no other place to entrust with my own child’s education.
My husband Mark and I are the proud parents of HPS 5th grader, Kylene. We look forward to our role as HPS parents and anticipate great opportunities for HPS to continue the mission of “Extending Excellence”.
