I have worked for Hickory Public Schools since 1997.  My current duties involve managing many of the federal programs funded under the No Child Left Behind Act, providing leadership for our English as a Second language program and working with our community partners located at the HPS Annex.   Prior to my current position, I taught English as a Second Language and acted as the ESL program coordinator.  Before coming to Hickory, I taught in Johnson City, NY and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.  My Bachelor of Arts degree is from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY and my Master of School Administration is from Appalachian State University.  I’m currently working towards a Ph. D. in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
