According to Rebecca Tuttle, principal of Hickory Career and Arts Magnet High School (HCAM), educators observe frequent challenges for students who are stressed due to lack of internet connectivity at home. But through the “1Million Project Foundation,” a program sponsored by the cellular phone company, Sprint, more than 40 students at HCAM now have reliable internet access at home.

Last Memorial Day, just before the end of the school year, Justice Freeman, a seventh grade student at Grandview Middle School, tragically lost his life in an automobile accident. Justice was loved by everyone. His family loved him deeply; but he was also loved by his many friends, classmates and teachers.
