Project Potential Scholarship Program

Project Potential is a scholarship program for students at Hickory High School.  Students are selected at the end of their eighth grade year based on extenuating circumstances that might prevent them from realizing their full educational potential.  A facilitator at Hickory High works with the scholars to keep them directed toward graduation by monitoring their grades and attendance.
Throughout the school year students participate in Lunch & Learn Sessions, fieldtrips, and a community service project.  Upon graduation, students are awarded a Presidential Scholarship to Catawba Valley Community College.
