  • Teachers and staff at Longview Elementary have been participating in different professional development sessions throughout the summer that have allowed them to collaborate with other professionals with regards to curriculum and specifically keeping in mind intervention ideas to help reach students that are below grade level.
  • Teachers will have a focus of creating lesson plans and addressing students' learning gaps starting in August as they return to the school building to prepare for the new school year.  They will be taking a look at school-wide and specific student data to make decisions that will impact daily instruction.
  • Administration and teachers are working on the master schedule to maximize academic minutes during the school day while still providing physical activity and social and emotional learning opportunities for students during the school day.  A great deal of consideration is being given to recovering from the pandemic school year while still keeping our students and staff safe by maintaining safe distancing.
