When does the book bus operate?
Please check the Weekly Schedule linked above.
When school is closed (e.g., teacher workdays, inclement weather, etc.) the book bus will not operate. Additionally, the bus will not operate in unfavorable weather, such as extreme temperature, heavy rain, etc.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Is there a fee?
No! Using the HPS Book Bus is totally free.
Who can checkout books?
Anyone!
How do I checkout books?
Talk to Miss Tina Connelly, the HPS Book Bus Assistant anytime on the bus. Miss Tina will set up an account for you to start checking out books. Next week, you will return those books and checkout more.
What if I miss the due date to return books?
It’s OK! Bring your books back the next time! You can also return books to HPS Book Bus Partners: Ridgeview Library, Patrick Beaver Library, the Catawba County Partnership for Children or any school in HPS.
