Students should have assignments copied daily in their student planners.  

Overview of units our class is currently studying

Math- We are working in Chapter 9 which continues our study of fractions. We are studying greatest common factors, least common multiples, and reviewing simplifying fractions.

Reading- We are beginning a study of animal stories to coordinate with our science study of ecosystems.

Spelling/Language- The spelling lessons vary weekly, according the group your child belongs.

Social Studies- We are working on the causes of the Civil War and the war itself.

Science- This nine weeks' unit involves a study of ecosystems.

Health- We will not be doing Health until the last week or two of this nine week grading period.

Students are asked to read 20 minutes nightly Monday through Friday and parents are asked to sign the green bookmark and state how much time their child has read.
