		Do we have the information we need?	Viewmont Elementary utilizes an automated messaging system to remind you of important events happening at the school such as picture days, PTA events, awards programs, and other important news. Please notify the school of any changes to your phone numbers and make sure we have a working telephone number so that you don't miss important information. Make sure your child's teacher has a working phone number for you and an emergency contact number of a family member or friend we can call in case your child is hurt or sick at school and we are unable to reach you. Keeping this information updated throughout the year helps ensure communication with you and the proper safety and care of your child during emergency situations.
		Lost and Found	Have you lost a jacket, hat, shirt, or lunchbox? There are many items still filling up our Lost and Found. Please make sure you search through the Lost and Found for items that may belong to you. If they are not claimed, they will be donated. Check by the office and give a description of smaller items, such as jewelry, that you might have lost.
		Spirit Fridays	Students and staff are encouraged to wear Viewmont shirts or our school colors (royal blue and white) every Friday as a way to promote school spirit. It is great to see so many Viewmont shirts and colors around the school. Go Bears! If you would like to purchase a Viewmont shirt, please contact our PTA or office for more information.
		Summer Break	Schools will be closed for students May 24th-August 23rd, 2013 for our Summer Break. We hope our students and Viewmont families enjoy a relaxing summer and return refreshed and ready for a new year of learning. Stay tuned to our website this summer for announcements about our 2013-2014 Sneak Peek night and other important events as the new school year approaches. If you have a child who will be attending Viewmont next school year as a new student, please contact our school office for information about registration. We look forward to seeing you back at school beginning Monday, August 26th.
