AIG and Enrichment Students are currently working on Science Research Projects and Experiments. Students have been able to select their own topics of study from the following list: The Interdependence of Plants and Animals; Landforms; Weather and Climate; Force and Motion; Animal Behavior and Adaptation; Rocks and Minerals; Magnetism and Electricity; Food and Nutrition; Plant Growth and Adaptations; Soil Properties; Earth/Moon/Sun System; and Skeletal and Muscle Systems of the Human Body. Project work products include a technology presentation and a hands-on experiment, demonstration, or model. In addition, students are working on Math Problem Solving strategies and skills by competing in Math Olympiad practices and contests.
Science Olympiad:
Viewmont Practice Days: Wednesdays after school until 4:00 pm
Oakwood Practice Days: Thursdays after school until 4:00 pm
(no practice during holidays) ***Students need to update contact information with Ms. Davis in case of cancellations or emergencies.
