 Class Description

Our fourth grade class is a community of learners.  We work together and succeed together as a family, recognizing and appreciating the differences that make us all special.  My goal as the classroom teacher is to develop students who enjoy learning and will go on to be life-long learners.

 Homework

For homework each night we will have both a reading assignment and a math assignment.  Our math assignment will come from our math practice workbooks.  These practice books go along with our math textbooks and allow students to practice a skill that we have worked on earlier that day.

For reading each night students will be required to read for 30 minutes.  Following this, students are required to write a summary of what they read in their Reading Response Journal.  This summary should list the title of the book and its author, followed by their summary.

Both assignments will be checked daily.
