Wow =
it has
been a busy winter. As we look towards spring it is amazing to see all the
changes in our first and second graders. They are reading, writing, and
enjoying biographies and nonfiction. We have been busy with maps and Black
History month and are now covering sound and Dr. Seuss. The first graders a=
re
working really hard on adding money while the second graders are enjoying
accelerated math and subtraction with regrouping.
We have a couple=
of
field trips in March. First we will be going to the Lit=
tle
Read at LR to study the book The Great Kapock T=
ree.
We will also be making a visit to the county health department for some
stations on dental health and nutrition. Our entire group=
will
be performing in the second grade play called Circus C=
ircus.
The play date is set for March 29th. Mark your calendars for a
special performance. More details on all this later.
