Description: The purpose of the English as a Second Language program is to cultivate English proficiency in children, or family members of children, who speak another language either exclusively or part of the time at home.
There are four areas in which students must master English in order to be considered FEP (Fluent English Proficient) ; Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. Students will practice using all four domains in the ESL classroom. I strive to help students improve these skills through the content areas of science, social studies/health, mathematics, and language arts.
Most students will work with me for thirty minutes daily, either in small groups in their homeroom or in my classroom.
