Since we "change" for literacy groups the homework I give is for math, nightly reading, sometimes writing and other subjects.
All written homework is due on the last day of the school week, usually Friday. Homework is assigned on the first day of the school week, usually Monday.
Please have second graders read at least 25 minutes per night. Read with them, to them. Let students help you with reading at the grocery store or when you read a menu. Encourage math knowledge every where you go!
You are your child's first and best teacher. Make the most of your role in his or her academic life!
