There are two types of business letters. A letter from an individual to a business is a business letter while a letter from one business to an individual or another business is known as a letter. The top margin of a letter is inches with the left and right margin set to inch. There are many parts to a business letter. The address is the address of the person who is writing the letter. Sometimes a business will use preprinted stationery called which has the company's name, address, telephone number, and logo on it. The is keyed after the return address. The letter or address is the address of where the letter is being sent. The next part of the letter is the or greeting. If there is no colon or comma after the salutation, the letter has an punctuation style. If a colon or comma is typed after the salutation then the letter has a punctuation style. The next section of the letter is the or message of the letter. The paragraphs in a letter are not indented so they are called style paragraphs. The spacing of the paragrahps in the body of letter are spaced within the paragraph and spaced between the paragraphs. Following the body of the letter is the closing. In case someone can not read the signature, the letter writer's name is typed after a quadruple space leaving blank lines. At the end of the letter, initials are keyed to show that someone other than the author keyed the letter. These initials are keyed a space below the typed signature. If the letter includes another document which is paper-clipped or stapled to the letter, then the word is keyed a double space below the initials. If another document is included with the letter, but not stapled or paper-clipped to the letter, then the word is keyed a double space below the initials. If another person receives a of the letter, the letter "c" followed by the person's name is typed at the bottom of the letter also.
