Second graders will have homework throughout the year! Their homework will only come home on Mondays through Thursdays, and will normally include a "baggy book" - a short book that has already been read at school which they can read aloud to you, and some simple writing, language or math activities.
The intent of homework is simply to reinforce content we have already covered. It should never be too time-consuming or difficult for your child. So please communicate with me if you have concerns about our homework assignments. I am here to listen. I want your child to build practice and responsibility through second grade homework, but also to continue to enjoy school and learning!
