Catawba Valley High School's recently updated, renovated,
re-created library now boasts a collection exceeding 1,500
books!
In 2005, CVHS purchased the Accelerated Reader (AR) software,
enabling our students to check out books and later take
AR tests
to receive credit for their work. In addition, some of our
teachers encourage their students to use the AR program to earn
extra credit in their classes.
To add variety, flexibility, and interest to the curriculum,
CVHS has acquired 40 classroom novel sets as well as teaching
guides and student novel study guides for classroom use.
Twenty-six novels on audiotape or CD are also available for
teacher's use.
