The AACC promotes the empowerment of all ethnic groups who want to share in the experience of being culturally connected through the school and community. Our goal is to become more visible in the community and in the schools.

The HHS Beta Club is a national academic and service organization open to 11th and 12th graders.

German club is open to students taking German or those who have an interest in Germany and its culture. It is both a service club and a social club.

The Hickory High School Interact Club is a service organization that is open to all high school students. The purpose of the club is to teach the youth of today the importance of volunteering as well as allowing members to experience firsthand the impact a small group can make in the lives of those who are less fortunate.

Juniorettes are young women, ages 12 to 18 working together to meet the needs of their HHS and the greater Hickory community through volunteer service projects.  This club belongs to the General Federation of Women's Clubs.

 

Key Club

Key Club is an international, student-led organization. A values-based leadership curriculum includes personal and character development, inclusiveness, and caring.

 

Latin Club

Latin Club is open to all current and former Latin students. The purpose of the club is to provide each other with fun and fellowship, to raise money for community projects, and support worthwhile projects at Hickory High School.

 

Literary Club

The HHS Literary Club holds as its primary goal to publish a literary magazine containing poetry, short stories, feature articles, photography, and artwork created by HHS students. The club raises money to publish the magazine and holds social gatherings for fun.

Mu Alpha Theta

Mu Alpha Theta is a national Mathematics Honor Society. We are dedicated to inspiring keen interest in mathematics, developing strong scholarship in the subject, and promoting the enjoyment of mathematics in high school students.

 

National Honor Society               

Tina Clark

National Honor Society consists of juniors and seniors who have a 93.0 or higher GPA and have no honor code violations. Students who meet these requirements are invited to join the club during the spring semester of their sophomore or junior year. Students complete ten hours of community service per year.

 

National Latin Honor Society

The National Latin Honor Society is an honorary organization open to conscientious Latin students who have consistently made A’s through Latin I, Latin II, and Latin III.  Students in this honor society assist the Latin Club with school and community projects.

Student Council is a club devoted to serving the needs and wishes of the student body to better the individual student’s high school experience. Students from each grade level serve and organize a number of school wide events.
