Question: When does the school day begin = and end?
Answer: Students are to be in first period by 7:35 am. Administrators are on duty to monitor student movement and activity at 7:00 am. The school day ends at 2:25 pm. &nb= sp;After-school make up ends at 4:00 pm, and after school detent= ion sessions end at 3:30.
Question: What is the price of school lun= ch?
Answer: Daily lunch prices f= or students in grades 9 through 12 is $2.00.
Question: What is the procedure if there = is an early dismissal for inclement weather?
Answer: In the event school = is dismissed before the end of the school day because of snow, ice, or other inclement weather, an announcement will be made. Students who ride the bus or ride in private vehicles will remain in class until dismissed. Students will be allowed to use the telephone to call for a ride home= .
Question: What are the procedures for distribution of medications at school?
Answer: All students who require medication during the school day must have a medication form signed= by their physician and returned to the main office at Hickory High. Medication forms may be obtained from the main office area.
Question: What is the procedure for check= ing my son or daughter out of school?
Answer: Parents/guardia= ns must have photo identification and be listed on student information cards a= s a guardian or an emergency contact person.
Question: How does my child sign up for a= fter school homework assistance?
Answer: Some teachers pr= ovide after school tutoring. Studen= ts need to make individual plans with teachers to get assistance. Mu Alp= ha Theta offers math tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 to 3:30. Please see Melissa Sharpe for information on Mu Alpha Theta’s math tuto= ring sessions.
