Boys Basketball

Yesterday our boys basketball team defeated Arndt in a tight game 38-34. Mykell Linebarger led the Hawks with 16 pts and 8 rebounds.  Jaquon Crawford had 10 pts.  Zack Walker had 5 pts and 5 rebounds.  Chase Byrd had 3 pts and 3 assists.  Calvin Camp had 2 pts, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists and Logan Hamilton added 2 pts.  The Hawks play tonight @ Mill Creek vs Newton-Conover for the tournament championship @ 7:30.  Come out and cheer on the Hawks!
 
Boys Basketball

Yesterday our boys basketball team defeated Maiden in the 1st round of the tournament 53-21.  Mykell Linebarger had 13 pts, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals.  Calvin Camp also had 13 pts along with 3 assists and 5 steals.  Zack Walker and Chase Byrd had 7 pts each.  Zack also had 5 rebounds, and Chase added 4 steals.  Jaquon Crawford added 4 pts.  Kaleb Hewitt had 3 pts, and Bristen King and Noah Hewitt had 2 pts each.  The boys play in the SEMIFINALS of the tournament on Thursday @ 5:15 @ Mill Creek.
 
Lady Hawks Basketball

The Lady Hawks won in the first round of the conference tournament last evening defeating Riverbend 32-20.  Northview took control in the second half outscoring the Lady Pirates 22-5! Victoria Eckard was the games leading scorer with 16 points; she also had 5 rebounds and 5 steals.  Grayson Cameron had 9 points and 10 rebounds, while Jayana Linder contributed 4 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals. Carrisha Corry and Abbey Dixon also got in on the scoring, and Alexis Hunt grabbed 8 big rebounds.  The Lady Hawks will play in one of the Semifinal games on Thursday at Mill Creek at 7:00.

Hawks Boys Basketball

Yesterday our boys basketball team gave a great effort, and made a great comeback against Grandview and won the game 51-49, and finished their regular season with a record of 14-0.  Mykell Linebarger led the Hawks with 13 pts and 21 rebounds.  Zack Walker had 16 pts.  Calvin Camp added 8 pts, 5 rebounds and 3 steals.  Logan Hamilton had his best game of the year with 6 pts and 5 rebounds.  Chase Byrd chipped in 5 pts.  Jaquon Crawford had 3 pts and 3 steals.  Thank you to ALL the students and faculty who came out to support our teams!  It was AWESOME!  The boys will play next Tues @ Mill Creek @ 5:30 in the firswt round of the tournament.
 
Lady Hawks Basketball

The Lady Hawks used a strong second half effort to defeat Grandview 33-17 yesterday.  Eight girls got in on the balanced scoring attack that kept the Lady Eagles chasing all night.  Alexis Hunt had 6 points and 8 rebounds, Janaisha Rhinehart also put in 6 points, Carrisha Corry and Grayson Cameron each scored 5 points and Grayson grabbed 10 rebounds, Jayana Linder and Victoria Eckard each had 4 points, and Abbey Dixon and Orianna Allen also scored in the win.  Northview's girls basketball team finishes the regular season with an 11-3 record and awaits last nights results to know what time they will be playing in Tuesday's tournament.  Thanks to EVERYONE that came yesterday and created an awesome, electric atmosphere that helped the teams win!

Lady Hawks Basketball

The Lady Hawks suffered their 3rd loss of the season yesterday at Mill Creek by a score of 23-21.  Northview's defense caused 10 turnovers, but had trouble converting them into points.  Grayson Cameron had 5 points and 13 rebounds, Carrisha Corry had 4 points and 3 steals, Alexis Hunt had 4 points and 7 rebounds, and Janaisha Rhinehart, Victoria Eckard and Jayana Linder all chipped in a basket each.  We will be hosting Grandview at 4:00 today, please come out and make some noise as the Lady Hawks look to finish a very successful season!

Yesterday our boys basketball team defeated Mill Creek 52-27.  Mykell Linebarger led the Hawks with 17 pts and 12 rebounds.  Zack Walker had 8 pts.  Chase Byrd had 6 pts.  Calvin Camp had 4 pts, 4 assists and 5 steals.  Joseph McCorkle and Jaquon Crawford each had 4 pts.  Logan Hamilton and Bristen King added a bucket apiece.  TODAY is the BIG day!  The Hawks play Grandview @ HOME!  Come out and support the Hawks.
 
Lady Hawks Basketball

The Lady Hawks got back on the winning track yesterday defeating Riverbend 29-16.  Victoria Eckard led all scorers with 14 points; she also had 5 rebounds.  Grayson Cameron had 5 points and 7 rebounds, Janaisha Rhinehart and Jayana Linder both had 4 points and Carrisha Corry had 2 points in the win.  The Lady Hawks travel to Mill Creek next Wednesday and host Grandview next Thursday to finish the regular season.

Yesterday our boys basketball team defeated River Bend 52-26.  Calvin Camp played a great game and led the Hawks with 10 pts, 7 assists, and 6 steals.  Mykell Linebarger had 10 pts.  Zack Walker added 11 pts and 3 steals.  Jaquon Crawford had 7 pts and 3 steals.  Logan Hamilton had 4 pts.  Chase Byrd chipped in 3 pts.  Jess Guarino and Kaleb Hewitt chipped in 2 pts each.  The hawks travel to Mill Creek next Wednesday.

Yesterday our boys basketball team defeated Jacobs Fork 66-30.  Mykell Linebarger was the game’s leading scorer and rebounder with 18 pts and 16 rebounds.  Zack Walker contributed 16 pts, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals.  Chase Byrd added 7 pts and 4 assists.  Jaquon Crawford had 6 pts, 6 assists, and 7 steals.  Bristen King chipped in 5 pts.  Calvin Camp added 4 pts.  Joseph McCorkle had 4 pts and 5 rebounds.  Kaleb Hewitt, Noah Hewitt, and Logan Hamilton contributed 2 pts each.  The Hawks play at Arndt next Tuesday.

Just in time for cooler weather, our Northview Booster Club will be taking pre-paid orders for long-sleeved white Northview Atheletics t-shirts.   Each shirt will cost $15.  All proceeds will go to directly benefit Northview Middle School athletic programs.   These shirts are perfect for Friday Spirit Days!  Wear them to the games!

Northview Middle School’s newly adopted standardized dress code allows students to wear t-shirts that have a club, class or athletic theme associated with their school on Fridays.  We have the perfect Northview t-shirt for you!  Wear it on Fridays!  Wear it to games!  Wear it to PE! 
 
Our Northview Booster Club will be taking prepaid orders for $12 t-shirts beginning at Orientation, Tuesday, August 23rd.  We will be selling gray “Northview Athletics” t-shirts.  Pink and light blue t-shirts will be available with individual sports highlighted.  You can order multiple shirts in pink, blue, or gray.  Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery.  Only $12 each! 
 
All proceeds will go to directly benefit Northview Middle School athletic programs and will help to purchase new much-needed uniforms for the basketball and girls’ soccer teams.
