| Babysitting Club |
The Northview Babysitting Club will hold its first meeting afterschool next Tuesday, Feb. 19th in the gym classroom. Any student from 6th, 7th, or 8th grade who would like to learn more about babysitting and safety procedures, please attend this meeting! This club will meet every other Tuesday from 2:30-3:30pm in the gym classroom. You must have a ride waiting for you at 3:30pm in front of the school.

| | FITNESS CLUB |
We will start a fitness club at Northview Middle School this spring. Club will be probably meet every other Tuesday after school until 3:30. Students can participate any Tuesday they are able to stay, it is not necessary to stay each time. The club will be going with a teacher/adult sponsor to the paved walking track behind Mt. Olive Church. This will be a club practicing fitness through exercise and games.
| | INTERNATIONAL CLUB COLLECTS COKE COLA REWARDS |
THE INTERNATIONAL CLUB is now sponsoring a school-wide collection of Coke Cola Rewards points to earn art and athletic supplies for our school as well as donating to help military families, supporting a Hispanic Scholarship fund, and much more. You can help by bringing in your Coke, Sprite, Minute Maid, and Mellow Yellow bottle caps to Mrs. Ohlendorf’s room. These rewards points are also on 12-pack cartons. Student Council Association - The purpose of the Northview Student Council Association is to promote good school community relations and teacher student relations, provide constructive student expression, and plan & assist in school functions. Elections take place in September for President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Sergeant at Arms. A representative from each homeroom is selected to promote communication to and from the association.

| | NORTHVIEW ENGINEERING ROBOTICS & SCIENCE (NERDS) CLUB |
Northview Engineering Robotics & Science NERDS Club - The NERDS Club is for students in grades 6 – 8 at Northview who are interested in science and engineering. Students in the club complete hands-on science activities and competitive engineering tasks. The students participate in both indoor and outdoor activities to grow their interest in science. Students must have a ride to pick them up at the required time after school.
Advisor: Mr. Brent Hilston
Eligible Students: 6th, 7th, & 8th graders
Meetings: After school beginning in January

International Club - Meetings of the International Club will be held the 4th Monday of the month from 2:30 – 3:30 pm. At the meetings, we become more knowledgeable about the world around us by “traveling” to different countries. We have speakers who have lived in the country we are visiting each meeting. They teach us about the culture, history, lifestyle, education, language and other things about their country. Students use technology to communicate with other students around the world through e-pals and Skype.

Jr. Beta Club - The National Beta Club is the largest independent, non-profit, educational your organization in America. Since 1934, the National Beta Club has awarded students national recognition for their high academic achievement while equipping them to be the leaders of tomorrow. Following are the core elements of the Junior Beta Club:
Achievement-Recognizing and honoring high academic achievement Character-Preparing young people for life and empowering them to be successful Leadership-Developing the leaders of tomorrow Service-Demonstrating our motto “Let Us Lead By Serving Others” Students will be invited to induction of the Jr. Beta Club. They must maintain A’s and B’s in all classes. Students must demonstrate good character by following the school code of conduct and must complete 4 approved community service projects per year (2 in the fall & 2 in the spring).
