What's
Going On In Library Classes?
Fifth
grade students are completing a study on U.S. states and
capitals. Each student is preparing a "suitcase" covered
with decorative and informative, student-made, travel
stickers from one state. All 50 will be on display soon. The
product and full research/citation documents are due the
first full week of December. Check your child's rubric
to ensure his/her project is submitted on time!
All students in library information skills classes
are getting acquainted with the picture books and novels that are nominated
for the NC Children's Book Award. This is a
prestigious honor bestowed on a lucky author and/or
illustrator from each
category chosen only by the school children in NC. Only
students can nominate books and only students can vote!
This year's list can be found on the following site:

competitions"; go to NCCBA.
Last year's winners!
Recently
students have been getting acquainted with all of the new
