About Viewmont

There are approximately 610 students currently enrolled at Viewmont Elementary, home of
the Bears. We are proud of our diverse population of students with many countries and languages represented.
Viewmont offers a nurturing
and challenging curriculum at Pre-K through fifth grades.
Caring and dedicated staff
members, parents and community volunteers work together for the academic success
and character development of our students.
There are
currently 31 homeroom classrooms, with several specialized instruction
classrooms throughout the school (resource, speech-language, reading, English as
a second language, academically and intellectually gifted, guidance). Art,
physical education, music, and library classes are offered weekly in grades
K-5th. Instruction in our new computer lab is also part of the weekly
schedule for our students. We have a gym/multipurpose room, cafeteria,
media center, two equipped playgrounds, an instructional kitchen, and a family
resource room. We
offer several
clubs
and extra-curricular activities before and after school hours. Fifth graders also serve as
our Flag Patrol and Library Helpers.
