Career and Technical Education (CTE) provides an avenue for students to learn academic skills, technical skills, and to earn industry-recognized credentials. Whether a student is exploring a career, learning a new hobby, or preparing for a specific career, CTE is an integral part of middle school and high school education in Hickory Public Schools.

North Carolina CTE State Mission: The mission of NC secondary Career and Technical Education is to empower all students to be successful citizens, workers and leaders in a global economy.

Career Development and Special Populations support services are available at all middle schools and high schools.
