Child Nutrition Update from Hickory Public Schools

MEALS PROVIDED by Hickory Public Schools —

BREAKFAST & LUNCH for HPS students with needs:

Food orders have been limited. We will now be making deliveries only one day per week -- (for school days that are closed due to the Governor's Executive Order). Please read the message below:

Due to health concerns of our nutrition staff and the community the School Nutrition Program has decided to move to once a week service.  This means that children ages 18 years old or younger can pick up 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches on TuesdayMeals will be part of the current bus routes and curbside pick up at Longview and Viewmont Elementary Schools.  We want to remind the community that these meals are for children only in each household.  Due to the amount of food being sent home children will need assistance carrying their bags back from the bus stop.  We encourage a parent or guardian to accompany their child(ren) to the bus stop.  Cooking and storage instructions will be provided with the meals.

TUESDAYS: Buses will operate to deliver at stops from 10:00am - 2:00pm

TUESDAYS: Drive-Thru at Viewmont Elementary and Longview Elementary, 11 am - 1 PM--while supplies last! Food has run out before noon. Get there EARLY!!!!!

Wednesday-Friday NO bus routes will run; NO drive-thru

 Thank you.
